The Allergy and Immunology Clinic on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Metro Denver offers a multidisciplinary approach, where you can be evaluated by allergy, asthma, immunology and pulmonary specialists, all in one place. This philosophy allows us to provide quick answers for the most common or complex cases out there.

Our Goal Is For You To Lead A Life That Is As Symptom

Our experienced physicians have specialized training and expertise in managing patients with a wide variety of allergic diseases, acute and chronic asthma, additional diseases or symptoms of the respiratory system, and issues related to immunodeficiency. When you see one of our doctors, they will help you identify your triggers and develop a treatment plan specific to your individual needs.

Pollen counts are updated 2-3 times per week. Pollen counts are not monitored during the winter season.

As the outbreak of COVID-19 continues to evolve, Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center is taking precautions to protect the health and safety of our patients and staff.

Our office has made provisions for Social Distancing as we are continuing to administer allergy shots and biologics during regular business hours. If you have been sick with fever of 100.4 F or higher in the past 48 hours, please call our office to make other arrangements before coming in to the office.

It is our priority to continue to offer care to our patients at this time so we are now offering a Telehealth/Telemedicine option for those who wish to stay home. Contact our office for additional information regarding the Telehealth option.

Our office is not offering testing for COVID-19 virus at our office. We strongly encourage you to contact your PCP for information about COVID-19 testing.

Our offices are open and we are here to help manage your allergy and asthma symptoms. To make an appointment, please call 303-234-1067.

For allergy injections, we are continuing our automated waitlist to streamline patient flow in the office. We are modifying the waitlist procedure. The waitlist will now close on Monday and Thursday at 12:30PM/5:30PM and Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:30AM/4:30PM. Saturday waitlist will close at 11:30AM. This is to ensure patients are signed in and at the office by the time last injections are given. Last injections are given Monday and Thursday at 12:40PM/5:40PM, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:40AM/4:40PM. Saturday 11:40AM. If you arrive after the waitlist is closed, you will need to call the office and be added so we know you are physically at the office. Our goal is to have all shots given by the office closure times.

You will be able to add your name to the wait list using the links below. Each office has a unique waiting list. When space is available, you will be notified via text and/or email based on how you sign-in to come up to the office.

If you prefer, you can still call our main number, 234-1067, Option 1 and we will put you on the waiting list and call you when it is your turn.

Our Office Response To The Covid

  • 100% of our office staff is vaccinated for COVID-19.
  • We continue to sanitize the entire office 3 times per day and sanitize all patient rooms completely between every patient visit.
  • We continue to require that ALL patients and family members wear a mask or face-covering at ALL TIMES while in our office. Our staff will be doing the same.
  • We continue to offer Telemedicine or Virtual visits whenever appropriate, please call 303-706-9923 to schedule.
  • All visits, including allergy shot visits, are now scheduled. We can NOT accommodate walk-in visits of any kind. All allergy shot patients will be directed to wait in a private space.
  • We will continue to screen all patients for illness and offer recommendations for self-isolation vs testing vs emergency care.

  • NOTE: this is for follow-up ALLERGY SHOT APPOINTMENTS ONLY. All other types of new patient and follow-up office visits must be scheduled via phone or in person.
  • Simply choose your appointment slot and register with your name and email.

  • Do not use the online schedule option for your very first allergy shot or for a rapid desensitization visit, instead call our office at 303-706-9923.

Background

Dr. Newman grew up in Dayton, Ohio, where he lived and breathed Reds baseball. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from Yale University. While there, he worked in the immunology lab at the medical school, a position that sparked his interest in the field. He obtained his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University on an U.S. Army scholarship and did his internal medicine residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora . He spent the next 4 years as a staff internist at the US Army Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany.

He left military service in 1997 and joined the staff of the University of Vermont where he was also assistant professor of medicine, teaching medical students and residents. After 3 years in primary care internal medicine, he decided to seek specialty training and re-joined the Army to do so. He completed his allergy/immunology fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2002, and from there returned to Germany to become Chief of Allergy at the US Army Hospital in Würzburg where he also functioned as Chief of Medicine. As an Army allergist he treated patients of all ages, including soldiers, family members, retirees, and civilian employees. He left Germany and the Army in 2005 to launch a solo allergy/immunology practice in 2005 back in Vermont.

Our Allergy and Immunology Center is one of the largest of its kind, featuring more clinic rooms and food/drug challenge space than any facility in the region. The Center is dedicated solely to the management of pediatric patients with allergic and immunologic diseases.

Our pediatric allergy and immunology specialists believe the best way to improve quality of life for young patients is a multidisciplinary approach to the management of allergies and immune disorders. Our outpatient, emergency and inpatient services at Children’s Hospital Colorado include a variety of pediatric subspecialists, strengthening our ability to provide a full spectrum of care.

We provide pediatric expertise for children who have allergic conditions and immune deficiencies. Our multidisciplinary pediatric allergy and immunology specialists work together to treat these patients and understand the causes of these conditions so they can deliver better and more comprehensive care.
