Recommendations For Kids With Asthma During Pandemic
    • Carli B.February 6, 2021, 12:08 amCommentI will forever be grateful to Dr. McMahon and his staff. When my daughter was 14 months old she had a severe allergic reaction to peanuts. We were rushed to the ER and the doctor there stated there was no need to see an allergist, all he would tell us is that she is allergic and you must avoid peanuts for life. While that may seem like an OK plan for some, we set up a follow up appointment with our pediatrician the following day. She informed us that we have treatment options and need to meet wi showth an allergist, she recommended Dr. McMahon. We didn’t have to wait long to see him, which I credit to his large team and many locations. In our first meeting, we went through a skin test. He explained our options, avoidance and/or oral immunotherapy . We did our research and decided that Dr. McMahon was the best option to getting «control» of this life threatening allergy. We enrolled in his OIT program in October of 2020. Due to my daughter’s age we have not quite graduated from this program but are at 3 peanuts a day and will maintain that some time. I have always felt my daughter’s safety and well being were always top priority. I felt each of his staff went out of their way to make me and my family feel heard and respected. I will recommend Dr. McMahon to anyone seeking a qualified, dedicated, warm and top notch allergist.0
