According to NASAs 1989 study, several plants are most active at removing common indoor air pollutants such as ammonia, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene and benzene.

For Asthma Relief Turn To Aloe Vera:

If you are an asthma sufferer then you know all too well how uncomfortable, frightening and exhausting this condition can be to your life, not to mention disruptive. What you need to start doing is to drink whole leaf cold processed aloe vera juice on a regular basis. Aloe vera juice helps to reduce the severity of the latent phase of the disease. It also contains substances that inhibit inflammation such as Campesterol, B-Sitosterol, bradykinase, phyto steroids and Lupeol.

Aloe vera is advantageous in terms of reducing the severity of asthma symptoms as well as the frequency with which asthma attacks occur. This is because it contains a substance known as Acemannan. Acemannan is extremely effective at acting on the immune system to activate and stimulate T-cells, monocytes and macrophages. Acemannan acts quickly to surround a foreign body and from there it starts to destroy bacteria.

Acemannan is the trade name that researchers have given to the mannose rich polysaccharide that has been extracted from the aloe vera plant. Acemannan is extremely helpful in the fight against asthma.

Researchers who have studied the effects of Acemannan on asthma sufferers have found that consuming aloe vera regularly can be beneficial as it can work as a preventative measure. The effects of this miracle herb have been shown to be beneficial both on a short-term basis as well as a long-term basis.

“30 Proven Health Benefits of Aloe Vera”

Aloe Vera provides a number of benefits that make it effective against itchy skin:

Hydration – One area that may attribute to the effectiveness of Aloe vera is a treatment for skin conditions is through hydration. The clear gel of the plant is 99% water, which consists of many antioxidants such as beta carotene, vitamin C and E, that helps keep the skin hydrated and nourished.

Healing Promotion – Relief from itching and burning is another area of effectiveness when applying Aloe Vera to the skin. Aloe vera contains two plant hormones, auxin and gibberellins, which have wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties. These two hormones accelerate healing by stimulating cell replication, helping wounded or cracked skin heal faster.

Anti-Infection – Aloe vera can also assist in reducing infection. One major health risk associated with atopic dermatitis, i.e., eczema, is staph infections. An estimated 60% to 90% of people afflicted with eczema are likely to have staph bacteria on their skin as a result of it. Infection develops as constant itching crates open wounds on the skin, which only worsens the atopic dermatitis. Because of the anti-inflammation properties found in the naturally cooling Aloe gel, along with healing wounds faster, it reduces the irritation cycle of itching and scratching that is so common with eczema.

Aloe Vera Products And How To Find

Its easy to find aloe vera products including aloe gel, latex, juice and extracts in your local health food store. But youll want to choose a product thats made by a reputable company to ensure that the extraction and processing methods didnt reduce the plants therapeutic properties.

The processing method has the largest effect on the number and amount of active ingredients in an aloe vera product. The commercial production process of aloe vera products typically involves the crushing, grinding or pressing of the whole leaf to produce juice, followed by various steps of filtration and stabilization to achieve the desired extract. Although this is easier for the manufacturers, it can result in a product that contains little or no active ingredients.

It turns out, after extracting the gel, heating it and using fillers to make aloe vera products, the health benefits are minimized. In order to stop the common misrepresentations in the industry, and the false idea that all aloe vera products produce the same benefits, the International Aloe Science Council developed a certification program that validates the quality and quantity of aloe vera in approved commercial products. When looking to purchase aloe vera, read the labels carefully and look for this important certification.

I’ve been asthmatic since being pregnant at age 26. On medications including steroids and inhalers. Just to make a long story shorter, I began with Vitamin C with bioflavanoids and rosehips . Vit C 1000 worked many times if I caught an attack early enough, but, omega 3s helped even better so I added them. Another real difference I found was when I went organic. A lot of things improved for one, but, it seems also my asthma as well.

Haven’t had a problem in years, eating all kinds of foods, but, organic, in particular organic dairy and grass fed meats. I do now have raw organic Apple Cider Vinegar most everyday as well. Just to add, since going organic, my son’s allergies that he had for years since he was a teenager, now in his 30’s, have subsided as well. I use all natural household cleaning products as well such as baking soda and vinegar. Kind of “detoxing” as much as I can. Hope that helps anyone.

The ingredients you will need include:

    • Aloe Vera 1 cup of the gel or juice
    • Citric acid- 1 teaspoon
    • Vitamin E oil from sunflowers- 1 teaspoon
    • Tea tree essential oil- 5 drops
    • Lavender essential oil- 3 drops

    Procedure

    • If using the Aloe Vera gel, place the gel in a blender to break up the semi-solid parts and make it liquid. It will form a foamy liquid but the foam will settle down. If you have the Aloe Vera juice, you can skip this first part and move to step two.
    • Pour the Aloe Vera juice or liquid now into a suitable jar. Mix in the vitamin E and essential oils.
    • Dont hurry to lather this on your face. Store the mixture in the refrigerator for 45 days.
    • Use the Aloe Vera shaving gel after this time for all your shaving needs. You do not need to keep the water running during a shaving session with Aloe Vera gel. This shaving gel is emollient and can stay on the face until you are done with shaving.

Where To Get Aloe Vera For Topical Use

How To Use Aloe Vera For Eczema

The gel found in the Aloe vera plants leaves is easy to apply. One method is by plucking a mature leaf from the plant, slicing it open lengthwise, and then scooping or scraping out the gel for usage. Or you can just snap off a leaf and slowly squeeze out the gel to apply directly on the affected areas of the skin. The leftover gel can be refrigerated or frozen for future use. One inventive way to keep the harvested gel was by mixing it in a blender, and pouring the content into ice cube trays to freeze for later usage. However, be aware that this unprocessed form of aloe still contains a bitter, strong smelling yellow substance, called aloin, found in the outer leaf that can also have a strong odor and stain clothing. Aloin is removed from all ALODERMA products using a proprietary all natural process without the use of chemicals, charcoal filters, or enzymes, which in combination with processing leaves within 12 Hours of Harvest allows us to capture the maximum levels of natural bioactivity typically found in natural Aloe Vera.

You can also reap the many benefits of Aloe by purchasing a Pure Aloe Vera Gel. If you choose to buy Aloe Vera make sure its pure, isn’t made from concentrates, and preferably is organic or comes from organic farms. Many Aloe-based products purchased off the shelf can contain alcohol as an added ingredient, which will burn any inflamed or blistered area and only further irritate the skin.
