Suzan Fenstermacher Ms Rpa

Suzan is a fully registered and certified Physician Assistant in the State of New York. She earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Health Science degrees from Quinnipiac University.

Suzan graduated with honors from the Quinnipiac Physician Assistant Graduate program which is rated 11th out of 170 PA programs nationwide and she is nationally certified by the NCCPA. Prior to joining Smith Allergy and Asthma Associates of CNY, Suzan spent the last four years in Acute Care & Emergency Medicine where she cared for both pediatric and adult patients. She currently resides in Owasco NY and enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

    About Tukisa D Smith Md

    Tukisa Smith, MD, is a board-certified allergy and immunology specialist who treats patients with asthma, angioedema , cough, food and medication sensitivity, immunodeficiency, hay fever, sinus disorders and hives.

    As an assistant professor in the UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Smith trains medical students, residents and fellows. She also conducts clinical and basic science research and speaks at professional conferences on angioedema, drug allergy and primary immunodeficiency. Her work has been published in many peer-reviewed publications.

    Dr. Smith completed a clinical fellowship in allergy and immunology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, N.Y. She completed her residency in internal medicine at State University of New York Downstate in Brooklyn and earned her medical degree with distinction in research at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo. She is board certified in allergy and immunology as well as internal medicine.

    Dr. Smith received a KL2 Mentored Career Development Award from the National Institutes of Health . She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology , the Association for Clinical and Translational Science , the Clinical Immunology Society , European Society for Immunodeficiencies , and the World Allergy Organization .

    Ted joined Smith Allergy & Asthma Specialist in May 2020. He has 28 years experience in Purchasing. Prior to Purchasing, Ted worked in Production and Material Control. In 2003, he earned an APICS Certification in Supply Chain Management at Broom Community College. He has four children, three sons and a daughter, and lives with his wife of 29 years in Marathon.     Pam Sweeney Administrative Assistant Ii Certified Medical Scribe Specialist

    With a 25+ year history of working in the medical field as a medical transcriptionist and patient services representative, Pam joined Smith Allergy & Asthma Specialists in May 2013. She initially worked as the receptionist in the Cortland and Ithaca offices, was later promoted to administrative assistant II, and recently went on to earn ACMSS accreditation as a Certified Medical Scribe Specialist. As a medical scribe, Pam documents the patient and physician interaction in the medical chart, helping to ensure the most accurate and complete patient record and allowing more direct personal interaction between the patient and the provider.Residing with her husband on a small beef farm in McLean, Pam enjoys knitting, baking, and spending time with their five children, 14 grandchildren, and an assortment of pets.

    About Dr Chris Smith Md

    Dr. Chris Smith is a pediatrician, with special advanced training in allergy and immunology. He is nationally recognized as both an author and researcher, with unique experience treating patients with rare and complicated immune deficiencies, as well as more common ailments such as nasal allergies, allergic eye disorders, food allergies, eczema, sinusitis, hives, and asthma. He prides himself on prompt appointment scheduling, and being readily accessible to address any question or concern.

    Dr. Smith trained with some of the worlds most prominent allergy and immunology experts at the prestigious Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. While there, he conducted the hospitals largest pediatric asthma research study. He is the author of five chapters on allergic and immunologic diseases in The 5-Minute Pediatric Consult, the widely used clinical resource for pediatricians, published in 1998 and updated by Dr. Smith in 2002, as well as several medical articles on asthma and allergy topics.

    Dr. Smith completed his pediatric residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and was elected as Chief Resident in his third year. Following his residency, he completed another 3-year fellowship in allergy/immunology medicine at Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia.
