Ronald K Jorgensen Md

An owner-physician of the Arizona Asthma and Allergy Institute. He is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and by the American Board of Internal Medicine. After graduating from the University of Utah Medical School, he completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah Medical Center. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He enjoys community service, skiing, and fishing.

Meet Laura Jochen Rn Bsn Food Allergy Institute Director

Laura has a long-standing history at Allergy Asthma & Immunology having started her career with us in 2005. While she has worked in a variety of positions, she has spent the last 10 years working as a registered nurse. She currently is in charge of the Oral Immunotherapy program working very closely with each patient, their parents, and the providers. She, along with the providers, have developed protocols to make our OIT program one of the best nationwide. Laura is passionate about correcting misconceptions about food allergies and is consistently an advocate for the patient providing education, support, and hope for a better future. She is a Phoenix native and is married and a proud mother of 3.

A Matter Of Milligrams

While simple in theory, OIT requires extreme expertise in practice in order to judge proper oral dosing and to conduct accurate testing over the six to12 months of treatment. With OIT, mistakes can be dangerous, which is why patients should work only with an Allergist experienced in OIT and certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.
